Make sure there is adequate lighting in different areas.
Organize an area for perfumes, jewelry, earrings, hair ribbons, and barrettes, stuffed animals, etc. for the princess teens.
For the teen prince, you can have a space for watches, rings, necklaces, and cologne.
Shoes are a prized possession for both girls and boys. Design a space either on the floor, in a cabinet with shelves or a hanging rack to display all of the many types of shoes kids have these days – tennis shoes, dress shoes, flats, flip flops, scandals, etc. Add a location for purses for the girls.
Teenagers grow so their closet organization system should have the ability to adapt as they change from one year to the next in their interests, style, associations, and preferences.
Once the system is in place, monitor how well they use it each month so you can encourage them to keep their room easy to use.
